Dining at Woodall is a gourmet experience featuring Eastern Cape flavours and textures. No effort or expense is spared to source the best of our local products: Ostrich, Karoo lamb and venison, free range poultry, freshly caught East Coast fish and local artisan cheeses. The chefs draw their inspiration from the unique flavours of these local ingredients, citrus harvested from the surrounding orchards, and freshly picked produce from our own herb and vegetable nursery. Complementing the menu is underground wine cellar, boasting a unique and comprehensive collection of fine South African wines, personally selected by the James, the owner.¬† The cellar has been awarded numerous Diners Club Wine List Awards over the past ten years
The restaurant with its open deck area is situated over a lake teeming with birds and waterfowl, one of the best birding spots in the area – an ideal spot to savour sundowner snacks, cocktails, moonlit dinners and after-dinner drinks and cigars.
Breakfasts are farm-style with gourmet eggs and bacon, homemade breads, pastries, muffins, jams and preserves. Simple, stylish lunches can be enjoyed on the deck, at the pool, or on your private patio. Packed breakfasts, picnic baskets, healthy spa cuisine and specific meal requests are keenly catered for by the Woodall kitchen.
